For some time, I have contemplated adding some of my other projects to this website.  My drive to create has not started or will end with the jPod.  I enjoy making all sorts of things and usually have more than one project going at the same time.  Sometimes my projects can be seen (like the jPod, china hutches, etc) and other times they must be listened to.  My music studio is another passion area for me but I cannot (for copyright reasons) post that work here (visit Paper Astronomers as an example of a band I have worked with).

I blame my creative drive on my grandfather who was a farmer, inventor, and an “arms dealer” (he made prosthetics). My dad is an engineer & creative as well.  So I come by it honestly.  This may also be why I rarely, if ever, use patterns.  I like to develop my own as part of the challenge.

Some of my projects are more glamorous than others.  I plan to add to this page as time allows and as the projects develop.

Posted Projects

Future projects that I’ll post:

  • A China Hutch (my own design and build)
  • A tea cabinet (Senior Management & I love tea so we built a piece of  furniture to keep it in).
  • Tray & hot item cabinet (Designed to better utilize space in our former house’s kitchen).
  • A couch table (handy solidly build in the tradition of many such tables).
  • A home-made powder-coated steel expedition roof rack for the Jeep (not built yet but I have parts & some preliminary plans!)

Looks like an effective design! I assume the fan is blowing out, so you can vacuum the filters from the outside?

The fan does blow out. That way the suction pulls through the filters. Yep.
